How To Get Medical Marijuana in New Jersey
Law/Bill: P.L.2009, c.307
Approved Only For:debilitating medical condition, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, terminal cancer, muscular dystrophy, or inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease. Terminal illness also qualifies if the physician determines the patient has less than 12 months to live.
The following conditions qualify if they are resistant to conventional medical therapy: seizure disorder, including epilepsy; intractable skeletal muscular spasticity; or glaucoma.
The following conditions qualify if severe or chronic pain, severe nausea or vomiting, cachexia, or wasting syndrome results from the condition or its treatment: positive status for AIDS, HIV or cancer.
How to obtain registration: Rules governing the application process can be found here. Your physician must be registered with the state on this website. You physician is in charge of registering you with the state and they must submit the application on your behalf on the same website.
How to obtain medicine: You will not be permitted to grow medical marijuana. You are only able to obtain medecine at one of six licensed Alternative Treatment Centers, 2 in each region.
Amount allowed: 2 ounces / 30 days
